Biographical Information
Dr. Abramowitz received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from SUNY at Stony
Brook in 1988. Prior to that time, she worked in the field of special education
as a teacher, supervisor, and school administrator, specializing in learning
disabilities, behavior disorders, autism and preschool special education. She
was Coordinator of Special Education for a school district before entering her
training in Clinical Psychology. She directed the Center for Learning and
Attention Deficit Disorders in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
in the Emory University School of Medicine from 1989-2001.
