Stella Lourenco received her B.Sc. in Psychology from the
University of Toronto in 2000. She conducted her doctoral work at the University of Chicago. Her research concerns the development of spatial perception
and cognition. Topics of interest include the representation of geometric information, sex differences,
spatial reasoning in atypical populations, the influence of tool use in space perception, and the spatial
nature of numerical representation.
